 Here's a question:

How do you make peace with friends growing distant? When friends began to drift what net do you cast? What anchor do you throw?

Because I have seen it happen. I am seeing it happen. No, I will not play the blame game; I refuse to. But when my repeated attempts to restart the friendship are foiled, I am left with nothing but questions:

Did I do something wrong?
Am I to blame?
Or is life just too busy for them? To be further away, yet hanging at the edge of my life, watching as if through a little window.

Of course, you'd never provide an answer. And my pride will not let me question you. So now, I am stuck with picking one after another piece of memory, labeling them as history and setting them loose, afloat in the sea of forgetfulness.

But I guess everything comes to end. And that I must remember. So here are my parting words then:
'Journeys, some easy, some hard, eventually come to an end. And though our eyes must always be on the road ahead, one could sometimes keep a look out for familiar places.'
