Pale and Lifeless
And I find myself pale, a little lifeless,
Every time my eyes roam around me,

People, tethered to one another.
Belonging and longing,
Love and grief
The latter abundant,
The former sparse.
I walk about aimlessly
Barely able to keep my ground.
Losing myself a moment,
And salvaging the remains the next.
Yet, I continue, searching for that which evades me.
